The general theme of the thesis is to understand how the lay of the territory has contributed to the formation of settlements in and around Rome, and what are the characteristics of the morphology of the area. The theme connected with the archeology that is still present, is studied in depth and how it has effected the landscape from ancient times to today. The project foresees an understanding of those undefined areas that have been generated over the years and how these can re-acquire their own identity. Thus the process of strengthening the territory, which still has a relationship with the morphology of the area, through a demonstration of the periphery, is to clearly understand the landscape.
